Tap Forms and iWork both use the Documents & Data iCloud sync service to do the syncing. Now, I’m not sure if that’s really the case for everyone, but that seemed to be the trouble for him. They contacted Apple Support and Apple said that the problem they were having was because they purchased the iWork apps with one Apple ID, but are trying to sync it with a different account that they use for iCloud. One of my customers today told me that they had troubles with iCloud sync in Tap Forms and also in Apple’s iWork applications. So, this is just my opinion, but I trust many others will come: PLEASE think about supporting tried, tested and cross-platform sync methods: wifi, dropbox, webdav for personal cloud solutions…or messaging pigeons for all I care -) – iCloud sync – which I had never needed – turns out to be exactly as read too often: unreliable, non-transparent for developers and users alike, capricious.

– I still trust Tapform is “my” alternative for Bento, but I can’t use it yet. Here is my conclusion for the moment, as a user: Really, I am not!īut I won’t loose any more time on something that “should just work” (e.g. Now Brendan, I don’t want to sound as an angry user. – Deactivating iCloud sync on the Mac + clearing the /mobile documents folderĪny help is welcome, I have browsed 100 pages to find a solution, but I may have missed something of course! – Re-entering my iCloud account in the phone. – Removing the iCloud account from the phone altogether – Reactivating iCloud docs sync in the phone – Deactivating iCloud docs sync in the phone My attempts include dozens of combinations of the below actions, in different orders: I have already read and tried solutions from I have tried several times over 3 weeks and from 2 countries, so iCloud downtime/exotic ISP port filtering is not an option. Whatever I do, the sync remains blocked at “Upload 0.0%” (I have waited up to 30 minutes, and this was with the default DB and its 2 records!). The iCloud sync on the Mac “seems” to work: I can activate it, and the DB is indeed copied in /Mobile Documents… Thanks! If you have any advice or hints how I can solve the above issue and successfully install Ubuntu it would be much appreciated.

However, my question is how I can install some compatible version of Virtualbox on our Mac OS 10.7.5 and then install some compatible version of Ubuntu as a guest and which versions this would be.

Afterwards I tried booting Ubuntu 16.04.6 which also failed with which I believe is the same critical error. However, the startup process aborts after a few seconds with a critical error. To be able to continue using the iMac, I installed Virtualbox 4.3.40 (latest compatible version) and now tried to install Ubuntu 18.04.2 as a guest. We have an old iMac (2006) which no longer receives MacOS updates and also many common apps (firefox, dropbox etc.) can't be upgraded or don't work at all any more.
